51: Gather Endface Images

Endface images to be analyzed must be taken with a separate fiber videoscope capable of capturing hi-resolution endface images at 400x magnification. Call OWL for more information about acquiring a fiber videoscope.

Using the videoscope, capture the endface images for all of the fibers under test. As you store the endface images, it is helpful to name them such that they correspond with the fiber number as well as what end of the link the connector is on (e.g. Fiber # 1 and meter end).
