This product is a optical serial transceiver. It is powered from the serial port and provides a bi-directional optical serial link between any 2 serial devices. This provides total electrical isolation and noise immunity. It uses 1000 micron plastic fiber optic cable and will transfer up to 115Kbps over 300 feet.
