At the LINK INFORMATION screen, use the up and down arrows to navigate the entry fields, and use the right arrow to select the appropriate setting.

First, select the appropriate fiber type – multimode vs. singlemode – and link type – CS1 (i.e. horizontal), CS2/3 (i.e. backbone)

Next, enter the number of connections in the middle of the link. Note: do not count the connections at the ends of the link. These have already been accounted for in the previous step.

Next, enter the number of splices. These can be mechanical or fusion, and can include mid-span splices, if any, as well as any splices used for terminating the fiber ends.

This procedure assumes the 1-jumper reference method, so make sure REFERENCE METHOD is set to 1-jumper.
